We make nature-inspired art and provide behind-the-scenes art admin to help other local artists thrive.
Which means that we are a hands-on studio producing art, and we offer services for other creatives running small local businesses that help them succeed and grow.
We believe that nature grounds us, and community elevates us.
Which means that we aim to make art inspired by ecologies showing organic motifs, and that we want to use our business development skills to help other local artists success in making a sustainable living from their creative work and thriving on their own terms.
Our techniques capture light and build sustainable foundations.
Which means that we product multi-modal art across photography, watercolour, and printmaking - often working with recycled, gathered, and sustainable materials - and that we work as intentionally with other artists, collaborating together to achieve long lasting success on your terms, tailored to your needs and goals.
We want you to walk away feeling like creativity has sparked joy. Whether you are bringing our artwork into your home, attending art workshops we run, or partnering with us to grow your business, our goal is to leave you feeling empowered and inspired.
Jamie Ashton
She's a 50/50 split between creativity and logic. Jamie is a service designer by trade, the President of the Nanaimo Art Council by title, and a photographer/printmaker whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Des Bowles
They literally think in stories and pictures. Des is a videographer by trade, an education and communications specialist in practice, and an avid photographer/comic book writer when left to their own devices.
